Inviting users and resending invites
How to add users to your CVViZ workspace via the Add User flow.
Where to manage users
Settings → Users. Page title Users, subtitle "Manage your team members and their access permissions". Adding users requires the Manage users permission.
Adding a user
- Click Add User in the top-right.
- The drawer opens with title "Add a new User".
- Fill in the form:
- First Name (required) —
firstname. - Last Name (required) —
lastname. - Email (required) —
email. Used for the invite and login. - User Role (required) —
userrole. Pick from the custom roles you've defined (see Built-in roles).
- First Name (required) —
- The Permissions section below the form auto-populates based on the selected role — display-only here. To change permissions, edit the role itself, not the user.
- Click the action button to invite. The user receives an email and shows up on the list with status Invited.
Permissions auto-inherit from role
The Permissions section in the Add User drawer is display-only. It groups permissions into five categories so you can verify what the assigned role can do:
- Job Management
- Candidate Management
- Company Management (only for staffing-agency workspaces,
company_type === 'S') - Reports & Analytics
- Administration
If the visible permissions aren't right for the user, fix the role at Settings → User Roles first; permissions update automatically across all users with that role.
User statuses
- Invited (status 0) — invitation sent, awaiting acceptance. Blue badge.
- Active (status 1) — accepted and using CVViZ. Green badge.
- Deleted (status 2) — soft-deleted; can be reactivated. Red badge.
Editing an existing user
Click Edit User on the row's actions. The drawer title becomes Edit User. Email is disabled in edit mode — to change a user's email, deactivate and re-invite under the new address.
Resending invites
The agent inspection didn't surface a dedicated "Resend Invite" action — pending invites can be re-sent by editing the user (which retriggers the invite flow) or, if the invite is stale, by deleting the invited record and re-adding the user.
Bulk invite
Not in the current product — invite users one at a time via the Add User flow.
Tips
- Always pick a real role; default-Admin assignments are too easy to miss revoking later.
- Use the same email the user uses for SSO if SSO is enabled, so login flows align.
- Audit pending Invited users monthly; old unaccepted invites add visual noise.
