Bulk actions: move stage, email, tag, assign, delete
Operate on multiple candidates at once via the bulk actions bar.
Selecting candidates
From any candidate list (database, job pipeline, talent pool):
- Tick the checkbox on individual rows.
- Tick the header checkbox to select the visible page.
- For lists spanning many pages, click Select all {totalCount} across pages.
The sticky selection bar at the top shows the count: "{n} candidate selected" (or "All {n} selected" when across-pages selection is active).
Available bulk actions
The bulk actions bar shows these options. Some are conditional on permissions or workspace type:
- Send Resumes (share icon) — send selected candidates' resumes to a colleague or stakeholder. Recruiter-permission only.
- Submit to Client (send icon) — for staffing/recruitment-agency workspaces; submit candidates to the linked customer.
- Send Email — pick a template, preview, send.
- Change Candidate Status (swap icon) — bulk-change pipeline status. Job-context only.
- Send Pre-screening Questions (question-mark icon) — send the job's screening questions to selected candidates. Job-context only.
- Add Tags — apply tags in bulk.
- Add to Email Marketing Audience — feature-gated; adds candidates to an Email Marketing list.
- Re-Parse Resumes — re-run AI parsing on selected resumes. Confirmation modal: "Are you sure you want to re-parse selected resumes?"
- Add Candidates to Job — drop selected candidates into another open role.
- Export to Excel — two options: Export All (the entire filtered set) or Export Selected.
- Delete Candidates (destructive) — requires confirmation; permanently removes selected candidates.
Bulk evaluation (AI ranking)
If AI ranking is enabled, you can also evaluate selected candidates against the job in bulk — surfaces grades and skill-match scores without manually opening each profile.
Reject the cold long tail
Filter to a stage with low activity, select all across pages, click Change Candidate Status, pick "Rejected" or your equivalent.
Bulk re-parse old uploads
Filter to candidates uploaded before the OpenAI parser was enabled. Bulk-select. Click Re-Parse Resumes to upgrade their parsed data.
Mass email a shortlist
Tag your top picks. Filter by that tag. Bulk-select and click Send Email; pick a template.
Export for an external review
Filter to the candidates you want, click Export to Excel → Export Selected. The XLSX includes parsed candidate data.
Safety
Destructive actions (Delete) require an explicit confirmation step. Re-parse is also destructive in the sense that it can overwrite manual edits — it confirms before running.
Permissions and context
- "Submit to Client" is hidden if your workspace isn't configured as a staffing agency.
- "Change Candidate Status" and "Send Pre-screening Questions" only appear when you're inside a specific job's candidates view.
- "Add to Email Marketing Audience" requires the email-marketing feature flag.
- "Send Resumes" requires recruiter-level permissions.
Tips
- "Select all across pages" is the most common mistake — be explicit when scoping bulk operations.
- Start with Export before a destructive action, so you have a backup of what you operated on.
- Use Tags as a marker for batch operations rather than relying on filter combinations you'll forget.
